A small map of Australia featuring the Australian Flag, Aboriginal Flag and Pride flag

We acknowledge Australia as a sovereign constitutional democracy shaped by the rule of law, and the enduring values of liberty, responsibility, equality before the law, and representative government. We honour Indigenous Australians, whose presence reaches back since time immemorial, whose kinship traditions endure, and whose grief remains both historical and contemporary. We recognise their place within the tides of time and humanity, and their continuing responsibility, contribution, and belonging in the shared Australian nation.
